
Magnolia Combined Cycle Plant
Magnolia Combined Cycle Plant is a three-unit natural gas generating plant, located on approximately 374 acres in Benton County, Miss., near the town of Ashland.
The plant is set-up in a 1x1x1 combined cycle configuration, meaning that each unit consist of one General Electric combustion turbine generator, one Alstom steam turbine generator, and one Foster Wheeler heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) with selective catalytic reduction (SCR). Each HRSG has natural gas duct firing capacity to increase steam flow during peak demand.
Nominal plant capacity is 918 MW.
