Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation serves Jackson, Overton, Putnam, Smith and portions of Clay, De Kalb, White, Wilson, Macon and Pickett counties in Middle Tennessee. Incorporated in 1938, UCEMC today has more than 498000 business and residential members and maintains more than 4,500 miles of transmission line. It partners with TVA to bring its customers energy efficiency programs such as Residential Services, as well as the green power program Green Power Switch.
