Muscle Shoals Reservation Pond Creek Levee

The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has issued an environmental assessment (EA) and finding of no significant impact for the proposed construction of a new levee associated with Pond Creek on its Muscle Shoals Reservation.  The proposed levee is necessary to fulfill TVA’s commitments in the 1973 agreement with the City of Muscle Shoals.  The proposed action also includes removal of 3 structures (i.e., culverts) along Pond Creek and the placement of excavated materials from the Pond Creek Relocation project in two stockpiles within the Muscle Shoals Reservation.
