Wildberry Solar Center

Fayette County, Tennessee

On June 22, 2016, TVA issued a final environmental assessment (EA) and finding of no significant impact for its proposed purchase of power from the Wildberry Solar Center, a 20-megawatt (direct current) solar photovoltaic generating facility proposed to be constructed and operated by an affiliate of Coronal Development Services in Fayette County, Tennessee.

The Wildberry Solar Center, scheduled for completion in 2017, would occupy up to 135 acres a short distance east of Moscow, Tennessee. The facility would tie into an existing nearby Chickasaw Electric Cooperative substation.

The EA describes the anticipated environmental impacts of the construction and operation of the solar generating facility and associated electrical connection. TVA issued a draft of the EA for public review and comment in February, 2016. The final EA addresses the comments TVA received on the draft EA and provides updated information on the design of the solar facility and the anticipated environmental impacts.
