On October 8, 2020, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) issued a final environmental assessment (EA) and finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for its proposal to support the growing electrical load and increase power reliability in the Paris, Tennessee and Murray, Kentucky areas by construction, operating and maintaining a 16-mile 161-kV transmission line. TVA would purchase easements that provide the necessary rights to construct, operate, and maintain the proposed transmission line route. The ROW easements TVA proposes to acquire total approximately 188 acres.
