Gaynor Solar LLC – Volunteer Electric Cooperative Solar Project

On July 24, 2023, TVA completed an environmental assessment and issued a finding of no significant impact for a proposal to enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gaynor Solar LLC for a planned solar project located in Pleasant Hill, Cumberland County, Tennessee. The solar facility will provide up to 4 megawatts of generating capacity on an approximately 9.6-acre project area. Gaynor Solar proposes to construct and operate the solar array project that would connect to the local power company, Volunteer Electric Cooperative (VEC), system. Gaynor Solar is acting as VEC’s agent. The proposed project falls under the Flexibility Research Project, which is a TVA board-approved program that allows local power companies to build generation and sell power back to TVA through a PPA.
