TVA Invites Public to Meeting for Proposed Hillsboro Solar Project in Lawrence County

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Tennessee Valley Authority invites the public to an in-person public meeting for the proposed Hillsboro Solar Project in Lawrence County, Alabama. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. CT at the R. A. Hubbard School at 12905 Jessie Jackson Parkway, North Courtland, AL, 35618. This meeting is an opportunity for the public to learn about the proposed solar facility and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). As a come and go event with no formal presentation, attendees can ask questions of subject matter experts throughout the evening.

TVA issued the draft EIS for the Hillsboro Solar Project for public review and comment on January 17, 2025, which is available on tva.com. The proposed project would occupy approximately 1,610 acres of a 3,779-acre site along U.S. Highway 72 Alternate between Courtland and Hillsboro.

TVA will accept comments through March 3, 2025. Comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the administrative record and will be available for public inspection.
