TVA Board Meeting Recap - August 21, 2025
During its Aug. 21 meeting, the TVA Board of Directors reaffirmed its commitment to collaboration to meet rising energy demand, drive economic growth and support development of innovation such as advanced nuclear generation to power future technologies where this country needs to be a leader.
“TVA is leading the way to help America achieve energy dominance,” said Don Moul, TVA President and CEO during the meeting held in Knoxville, Tennessee. “The Administration and our elected leaders have made it clear: America needs more energy. We’re delivering it through powerful partnerships that meet growing demand while keeping rates low for both consumers and businesses.”
During the meeting, TVA staff presented updates that highlighted TVA’s position as a national leader in energy innovation, including new nuclear and small modular reactors, fusion energy development; power grid expansion; strong financial health; energy efficiency and demand response; and disaster response and environmental stewardship.
