Proposed Boat Dock on the French Broad River

TVA is considering a request for a Section 26a permit to construct a 400-square foot boat dock at French Broad River mile 28.2 (left bank) in Sevier County, Tennessee. Wilderness TN Ventures No. 6 LLC proposes to install a floating boat dock and access walkway for the purpose of loading and unloading passengers for its Tennessee Jetboat Adventures commercial operation. TVA is seeking public comment as part of an environmental review prior to deciding on permit issuance.

TVA is interested in receiving comments regarding the proposed Section 26a action’s potential to affect the environment or historic properties, and to identify any other issues associated with this request. Any comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the administrative record and will be available for public inspection. All written comments on this proposed action must be received on or before January 29, 2015. Written comments may be faxed, mailed to the address below or e-mailed to [email protected].

Please note, public comments submitted to the United States Army Corps of Engineers for Public Notice No.14-25 have been provided to TVA and do not need to be resubmitted.
