The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is seeking proposals from qualified candidates or companies to develop, operate, and maintain Fontana Village Resort (FVR), a business in Graham County, North Carolina, under a 30-year commercial recreation easement over approximately 356 acres on TVA land that includes, but is not limited to, the lodge (91 rooms), 124 cabins, two restaurants, a general store, swimming pools, multi-purpose sports fields/courts, a post office building, a gas station, a marina (60 slips), horse stables and trails, maintenance buildings, roads, gates, fences, kiosks, signs, lighting, utilities, vegetation (trees/limbs), public trails, and parking areas, within the easement area.
A request for proposal, which contains detailed instructions and a prospectus of the operation, is available on TVA’s website at https://www.tva.com/Environment/Recreation/Resort-and-Marina-Fontana-Village. The deadline for Proposal submissions is August 2, 2021. Written comments regarding the proposal may be submitted to the location below. Only complete proposals (per the website instructions) will be accepted.
