Proposed Easement on Chickamauga Reservoir for the Cherokee Memorial Park at Historic Blythe Ferry

TVA is considering a request to grant a 30-year public easement over approximately 28.6 acres on Chickamauga Reservoir at Tennessee River Mile 499.52 (left bank) in Meigs County, Tennessee.  Meigs County has requested a 30-year public recreation easement to continue managing the Cherokee Memorial Park at Historic Blythe Ferry.  TVA is seeking public comment prior to a final decision on the easement request.

TVA is interested in receiving comments regarding the action’s potential to affect the environment or historic properties and to identify any other issues associated with this request.  Any comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the administrative record and will be available for public inspection.  All written comments on this proposed action must be received on or before March 6, 2023.  Written comments may be mailed to the address below or emailed to [email protected].
