Proposed Section 26A Permit for a Public Park Expansion on Kentucky Reservoir

TVA is considering a Section 26a application request from the City of Clifton to expand the public park at the old ferry landing. If the request is approved, the City of Clifton will be permitted to expand the old ferry road to connect to Polk Street, relocate the courtesy dock and build additional parking spaces as well as install riprap bank stabilization. Existing approved infrastructure will remain in place. The project is located on Kentucky Reservoir at Tennessee River Mile 158 (right bank) (35°23'15.5"N, 87°59'39.3"W), in Wayne County, Tennessee.

TVA is interested in receiving comments regarding the action’s potential to affect the environment or historic properties, and to identify any other issues associated with this request prior to making a permit decision. The public may also review and comment on TVA’s draft Categorical Exclusion Checklist (below), which documents TVA’s preliminary environmental review of the request.

Any comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the administrative record and will be available for public inspection. All written comments on this proposed action must be received on or before March 31, 2023. Written comments may be mailed to the address below or emailed to [email protected].
