Proposed Section 26a Permit for Modifications to an Existing Commercial Marina on Cherokee Reservoir

TVA is considering a Section 26a application request from WaNi Village Resort to install additional boat slips, a concrete ramp, and a 7.57 acre expansion of their harbor limits.  If the request for a Section 26a permit is approved, WaNi Village Resort will be permitted to add these additions to support the resort.  The project is located on Cherokee Reservoir at Holston River Mile 58.4 (right bank) (36.22470 N, -83.452110 W), in Grainger County, Tennessee.

TVA is interested in receiving comments regarding the action’s potential to affect the environment or historic properties, and to identify any other issues associated with this request prior to making a permit decision. Any comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the administrative record and will be available for public inspection.
